It seems that Rajasthan Royals seem to have enough trouble before the kick start of their sixth outing in the forthcoming ipl 6. Firstly, uncertainty hung around the home ground of Rajasthan Royals, Sawai Mansingh Stadium of Jaipur, for an extended time period of more than couple of months. Around the same time, Rajasthan Royals were faced with a fine of 100 Crore Indian Rupees. This fine had been levied by the Enforcement Directorate for the alleged violations of foreign exchange rules of monetary dealings in the country. And after all this, when there is hardly a month’s time remaining for IPL’s start, they are struck with another bad news.
At a time when every team is involved in amassing as many sponsors as possible, Rajasthan Royals have lost out on HDFC. HDFC won’t be seen with Rajasthan Royals as the associate sponsor in the imminent ipl schedule. As per the sources, HDFC had decided to be a part of Rajasthan Royals’ sponsorship deal for not more than 4 crores while Rajasthan Royals had expected it to be around 6 to 7 crore Indian Rupees.
Though, Rajasthan Royals have got the support of Valvoline Cummins, which has been with them during last season, HDFC’s exit would hit them hard before ipl 2013, especially with the 100 Crore Indian Rupees fine. On the other hand, HDFC is expected to join hands with Mumbai Indians; who have been ranked as the most valued IPL franchise recently, though have lost on Hero MotoCorp.
