IPL 7 final moved to Bangalore from Mumbai. Eden Gardens (Kolkata), Brabourne and Wankhede (Mumbai) to host playoffs.
Bangalore will host the final of the Indian Premier League 2014 after Mumbai lost out due to a revamped schedule. Kolkata will also get a qualifier. Chennai have also lost out on all their four league games due to a dispute with municipal authorities over the use of three stands at the MA Chidambram Stadium.
The second phase of the IPL was held in the United Arab Emirates, due to the ongoing General Elections and it only moved back to India earlier this month. The official website of the IPL stated: "Considering that twenty matches of the ongoing Pepsi IPL season were played overseas, the GC took a decision to try and take the Playoffs to as many different stadia as possible. Several venues had expressed their interest in hosting the Playoffs."
