He also picked up 21 wickets in the sixth edition of the IPL, playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad. But Mishra is not happy with his show and wants to do better starting with tour of New Zealand.
"I was part of the Test squad that toured New Zealand in 2009, so I have a fair idea of how the pitches behave. Since Haryana don't have any more Ranji Trophy matches, I will have ample time to prepare for this tour. I will be going through the videos of those matches to have a clear idea of the challenges I might face," Mishra said.
Mishra, also part of the ODI squad that took on South Africa recently, revealed he has been working on his googly and flipper to make them more effective. "I have made slight changes to way I bowl the googly. Depending on the situation, I also try to vary my pace."
The leggie hopes of getting some bowling tips from the great Shane Warne some day.
"Anil Kumble has always been very helpful, telling me what sort of field I should set and which areas I should bowl in. But it will be wonderful if I can learn something from Warne. I haven't had the chance yet but it will be great if I can add two or three more tricks in my bag," he said.
