Dravid's men look for a fresh beginning

JAIPUR: The nightmare continues, but life must go on. It will take some time for the Rajasthan Royals players to get over the spot-fixing trauma, but at this moment, they are focusing on the job at hand: A good show in the qualifiers.

The Royals leave for New Delhi on Tuesday, a day ahead of their eliminator match against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

A statement released by the Royals said that the team had regrouped following a weekend break. It did show in their body language during a practice session at the RCA Academy here on Monday. It was a lot more confident as they went about their job in a clinical manner.

While the likes of Stuart Binny, Brad Hodge and Owais Shah honed their big-hitting abilities, a skill they would need in the relatively smaller ground of Ferozeshah Kotla, Brad Hogg got into the act right away with his tweakers.

Hogg hasn't seen too much action during this edition of the T20 tournament, but then given that the Royals have lost two spinners to the scandal, the Aussie veteran could be in the scheme of things. Brad Hodge too might have to turn his arm, as he did against the same opponents in their last league encounter in Hyderabad.

That match happened just after the spot-fixing arrests and the Royals were understandably in a dazed state. However, the weekend in Jaipur seems to have done them a world of good. The practice session on Monday was like the Royals before the spot-fixing drama, yet the fun-element was missing.
