Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) president Shahryar Khan has said that off-spinner Saeed Ajmal's bowling action has been fixed and the 'doosra' expert would be tested immediately, according to a report on geo.tv.
Saeed Ajmal's bowling action was reported during the Galle Test in Sri Lanka in August 2014. His action was found illegal on a bio-mechanic assessment a month later which led to his suspension by the International Cricket Council (ICC).
Ajmal announced late in December that he will not feature in the World Cup after failing to completely correct his bowling action. The 37-year-old did remedial work under former Pakistan spinner Saqlain Mushtaq who also advised him to take some more time.
The off-spinner's absence will badly hamper Pakistan's chances in the World Cup to be held in Australia and New Zealand from February 14 to March 29.
