The Pakistan Cricket Board has decided to include Saeed Ajmal in the 15-member World cup squad.
According to a report by Geo News, ICC sources said that Ajmal would be able to play in the World Cup if his action is cleared. If his action does not get clearance then Pakistan will be allowed to incluide a replacement even after the deadline.
Ajmal has been suspended from international cricket on September 9 after tests found his bowling action was illegal. He was suspended "with immediate effect" following an assessment in Brisbane in August.
The banned off-spinner has been hopeful of a recall after bowling six overs for 23 runs and taking one wicket in Pakistan's 118-run win in the fourth unofficial one-day match against Kenya in Lahore earlier this month. He bowled for the first time in three months with a remodelled action.
