Mahendra Singh Dhoni saw the funny side of reports of a dressing room spat between Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli on Day 4 of the Brisbane Test and responded with wit and sarcasm while being quizzed about it by the media on Friday. (Kohli-Dhawan spat no big deal: Ganguly)

"Actually that was the case. Virat used a knife. He stabbed Shikhar, who just recovered out of that then we pushed him to bat. These are all stories. Marvel, maybe Warner Bros or somebody should pick up this and make a nice a movie out of it," Dhoni said, as reported by cricket.com.au.

During the second Test at Brisbane, Dhawan had injured his hand in practice just moments ahead of Day 4, due to which Kohli had to walk out to bat with Cheteshwar Pujara. Following the loss on the same day, Dhoni said that the incident caused an "unrest" in the side as they could give only a 5-10 minutes notice to Kohli for him to go out to bat. Kohli was dismissed for 1 off 11 balls.

The reports that followed suggested that Kohli and Dhawan had an altercation as the former was unhappy for having to bat at such a short notice. The report also stated that Team director Ravi Shastri had to intervene and calm the situation down.

"Journalists start making their own stories during Indian tours. If somebody from the team has actually told you this, it'd be interesting if you could give us the name," Dhoni said.

"Because his imagination is really brilliant and he should be working for one of the movie companies. He doesn't deserve to be in our dressing room, because he has entirely created something that has not been there at all," he added.

"As far as the reality is concerned, there's been nothing like that [spat]," Dhoni said.

India, trailing 2-0, take on Australia in the Boxing Day Test at Melbourne needing a win to stay alive in the four-match series.
