Australia opt to bowl against England

PERTH: Stand-in Australian captain George Bailey won the toss and decided to bowl in the fourth one-day international against England at the WACA Ground on Friday.

Scorecard

Australia have already won the five-match series after claiming victory in the first three games. England have lost all eight of their matches against the home side on a disastrous tour, including a 5-0 Ashes whitewash.

Bailey took over the reins from Michael Clarke, who is being rested. The Australians also rested wicketkeeper-batsman Brad Haddin and opener David Warner while spinner Xavier Doherty is 12th man.

Coming back into the Australian team are Bailey, Test series star Mitchell Johnson, all-rounder Steve Smith and wicketkeeper Matthew Wade.

England named an unchanged side, retaining the same team beaten by seven wickets in Sydney on Sunday.

Teams:

Australia: George Bailey (Capt.), Aaron Finch, Shaun Marsh, Steve Smith, Glenn Maxwell, Daniel Christian, James Faulkner, Mitchell Johnson, Nathan Coulter-Nile, James Pattinson, Matthew Wade.

England: Alastair Cook (Capt.), Ian Bell, Gary Ballance, Eoin Morgan, Ravi Bopara, Jos Buttler, Ben Stokes, Tim Bresnan, Stuart Broad, Chris Jordan, James Tredwell.
