New Zealand were 176-3 in their second innings , when the match had to be stopped due to bad light, and with no result possible, the series ended 0-0.
The only bright spot for New Zealand 'A' in their second innings was the 128-run partnership between skipper Thomas Latham (61, 7x4) and Carl Cachopa (76, 13x4), after opener Neil Broom was dismissed cheaply.
Both were looking good for centuries, but twin strikes by left-arm spinner Rakesh Dhurv (2/45) pushed the Kiwis to 139-3. At tea, de Boorder (11 no) and Corey Anderson (26 no) took their team to 173-3 , but only one over of play was possible in the final session due to inclement weather.
Earlier in the day, there was some anticipation around Manprit Juneja, who was unbeaten on 178 and was looking for his double hundred. But Juneja (193, 20x4, 1x6) fell to medium-pacer Mark Gillespie (4/80), caught by Corey Anderson.
Kiwis fined for slow over-rate:
The visitors were find 10% of their match fees as the Match Referee Ravi Chaturvedi found the side to be five overs short.
