Bravo scored 66 of 44 balls while skipper Denesh Ramdin (21), Evin Lewis (22) and Navin Stuart (17) made valuable contribution to the total.
For Sunrisers, Ishant Sharma and Darren Sammy took two wickets each.
Earlier, Dale Steyn struck on the first delivery of the match to send back Lendl Simmons after Hyderabad invited Trinidad & Tobago to bat in the CLT20 clash.
Steyn got Simmons (0) caught behind by Parthiv Patel, giving Hyderabad a terrific start.
Lewis and Bravo then rescued Trinidad & Tobago with sensible batting. The duo added 49runs on board before pacer Ishant Sharma gave Sunrisers Hyderabad second breakthrough by dismissing Lewis (22 of 14) in the sixth over.
Lewis edged Sharma straight to the man behind the stumps leaving Hyderabad two.
Bravo lifted the side with his fiery show. He reached his fifty in 37 balls and guided the side past 100 before becoming the second victim of Sharma. The Caribbean side then lost wickets at regular intervals.
"The pitch still has some dampness because of the rain. This is the ground where we have chased which should be easy to do here. We played all our qualifiers here, so we know the ground well which will give us an advantage," said Hyderabad captain Shikhar Dhawan.
"The ball will move around in the first couple of overs. Once the batsmen are set, they can lead the team to a big total and not leave it for the rest. We have experience in our side in the form of Darren Bravo, Simmons, who should come to the party tonight," said T&T captain Denesh Ramdin.
Sunrisers have brought in Thisara Perera and Hanuma Vihari.
