Lashing out at the top brass of the BCCI, Dravid insisted that administrators were there for the game and not vice-versa.
"Administrators are there because of the fans and the cricketers to run this game, so credibility of a game or a board is important irrespective of what you do," said the cricketer.
"There are so many fans and so many people who care deeply about this game and it is because of these fans who we are as cricketers," Dravid added emotionally.
Talking about the controverises, Dravid said: "A certain amount of reverence, respect and love for cricketers can diminish, and I think it's a really, really sad thing for cricket in this country if that had to happen."
Dravid would be a witness for the prosecution in the IPL spot-fixing case which involves N Srinivasan's son-in-law Gurunath Meiyyapan and Rajasthan Royals co-owner Raj Kundra along with several other cricketers and bookies.
