CT: England lose Bell after slow start

NEW DELHI: Sri Lanka's Shaminda Eranga gave England first blow by dismissing Ian Bell in the 12th over at the score of 48 in their Group A Champions Trophy clash at the Oval.

Scorecard | Points Table

Eranga got Bell caught by Kusal Perera at mid-wicket after his 20-run knock off 37 balls.

Alastair Cook and Bell got England off to a slow start as the hosts scored just 38 runs in 10 overs after beings asked to bat.

Though Sri Lanka bowlers failed to get any early breakthrough, they didn't concede too many runs in the first powerplay.
