'Well left', one may have been tempted to say when young Bhuvi -- after an impressive spell of 8-2-19-2 against Pakistan -- got surrounded by the Pakistan journalists, baying for their team's blood in the aftermath of another defeat in the Champions Trophy, this time to arch-rivals India.
"Would you say India bowled very well in these conditions or Pakistan batted badly?" was the first question posed to him post Saturday's victory. "You just need to contain the batsmen and take wickets. It's not just Pakistan, you would want to do that against every team," the bowler said.
These young India players have an attitude of 'we-mind-our-business-only' and look to enjoy the game. Be it Shikhar Dhawan or Dinesh Karthik, Ravindra Jadeja or Bhuvneshwar, they've strictly kept themselves away from any query or discussion not related to their individual performances.
"It is a coincidence that I have taken most wickets against Pakistan. It's not like I love to bowl against them particularly," he added.
Instead of focusing on why Pakistan have fared poorly, Bhuvneshwar chose to speak about his own bowling, his teammates and the task of playing the semifinal and final that lies ahead.
"I'm pretty much enjoying it here because I always want to pitch the ball up and in England the ball really swings. I'm enjoying it, because the ball is moving, so it helps to get initial wickets, because that puts the opposition under pressure," he says.
