Jacques Kallis took the first wicket of hard-hitting Sehwag (17) by bowling a length ball which the Delhi batsman edged to the fielder in the slip position.

Skipper Jayawardene was next man to walk back to the pavilion when he too edged a Laxmipathy Balaji delivery to the slips.

Earlier, a disciplined Delhi Daredevils bowlers restricted the Kolkata Knight Riders to a modest 136 runs.

Nothing seemed to be going Kolkata Knight Riders' way as they kept losing wickets at regular intervals against the Daredevils.

Knight Riders were put under pressure from the beginning after their skipper Gautam Gambhir was run out in the first over by Irfan Pathan without even facing a ball.

This was Gambhir's third consecutive failure in this year's IPL.

Next to go was Manvinder Bisla (4). Umesh Yadav bowled a disciplined line and pitched up the ball to Bisla (4) who missed the shot and was bowled out. Both the KKR openers had failed to add much to the scoreboard.

Shahbaz Nadeem struck to dismiss Eoin Morgan (10) when the Kolkata batsman was caught by Yadav soon after Morne Morkel extended out-of-form Yusuf Pathan's misery.

Morkel dismissed the Baroda batsmen, who failed to middle the delivery and edged it. The ball went quite high and was caught by Yusuf's brother Irfan.

Yusuf (20) had failed to score a fifty since joining the defending champion Kolkata Knight Riders.

Kallis (12) was caught brilliantly by Ben Rohrer off the bowling of Irfan Pathan while attempting hit the ball over point.

KKR lost their last recognised batsman Debabrata Das to Ashish Nehra to give way to the tail-enders.

Das and Rajat Bhatia had managed to provide a bit of stability to the Knight Riders after they had lost their top order in the first ten overs.

Kolkata's tail-enders played an important role to take their team to the modest total of 136.

Debutant Sumit Narwal played a cameo, hitting quick fire 23 runs in 15 balls with four 4s. But Yadav dispatched him soon after and ended a short but important run by Narwal.

Then came Brett Lee and played a good knock, hitting 16 runs in 6 balls, including 2 sixes.

All along, Bhatia (26) proved why he is considered as a key part of the Knight Riders line-up. He formed important partnership of 34 runs for the sixth wicket with Das to stabilise KKR. And then stayed till the end to guide Kolkata to a decent total.

Earlier, Kolkata Knight Riders had won the toss and elected to bat against Delhi Daredevils.

While Delhi made no changes to their line-up, Kolkata made two major changes. Brett Lee came in for New Zealand captain Brendon McCullum and Shami Ahmed gave his place to Narwal.

While Daredevils have lost seven out of their nine games, KKR are not too far behind having lost six games out of nine.
