India set 269 runs target before West Indies to win the match.

Yuvraj Singh scored brilliant 113 runs to power India towards challenging total. However, once again Indian middle order fumbled during the batting powerplay.

At one stage, India was looking to cross 300 mark but after fall of Virat Kohli and Yuvraj Singh, Dhoni, Yusuf Pathan and Suresh Raina failed to capitalize on good start. India was all out for 268 runs in 49.1 overs.

For West Indies, Ravi Rampaul took five wicket haul. India's middle order batsmen Yuvraj Singh scored maiden ton in the World Cup. This was the 13th ODI ton for Yuvraj Singh.

After loosing openers Sachin Tendulkar and Gautam Gambhir cheaply, Virat Kohli and Yuvraj Singh added 122 runs. Kohli was dismissed by Ravi Rampaul for 59. Kohli was the third wicket for Rampaul, who is playing his first game in the World Cup 2011.

Earlier, he dismissed master blaster Sachin Tendulkar (2) in the very first over of the game. He also scalped good looking Gambhir for 22 runs.

Preview:

India will play West Indies in the last match of Group B here at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Cheapuk, Chennai on Sunday.

After the defeat of Bangladesh, both the teams are qualified for the Quarterfinal but the result of this match will decide the clash in knockout round.

The winner of this match will play Australia in the quarterfinal.

As far as India’s performance is concerned, they will have last chance to improve their bowling and fielding performance. India has one of the strong batting line-up, but the middle order has been fumbled during the batting powerplay. Dhoni & Co will have to look into this area against Caribbean side.

India has been looking to start the knockout round with a confident win against West Indies in the last group match.

For India, opener Virender Sehwag will not play today’s game due to allergic infection in his knee. In this circumstance, Gautam Gambhir will open with master blaster Sachin Tendulkar. Suresh Raina and R Ashwin are likely to be included in the final XI.

Sachin Tendulkar will become the first cricketer to appear in 450 ODIs. He is likely to achieve several mile stones. If Sachin scores 47 runs in this match, he will complete 18,000 ODI runs. He can complete century of international hundred if he hits ton in this game.

West Indies team has lost its both games against tough opponents, South Africa and England in the Group B. In their last game, they went down to English team while chasing 244 total.

It will not be an easy task for West Indies to overcome ‘Batting Giant’ India.
