Kolkata Knight Riders owner Shah Rukh Khan revealed the success of his team in Indian Premier League.

In a promotional event in New Delhi, the Bollywood superstar put it down to his players' hunger and drive to use IPL as a platform as the reason for the team's two title triumphs. (No SRK to Cheer for KKR vs RCB)

"One of the qualities of KKR is we have immense talent in terms of international level and fortunately at this point, none of them are playing international cricket, barring a few," Shah Rukh said. (Twitterati hails Gambhir's 25th IPL fifty)

Kolkata's skipper Gautam Gambhir, hero of India's World Cup 2011 triumph, has failed to hold on to his opener's spot in the national side. The likes of Robin Uthappa, Yusuf Pathan have also been sidelined. Another good season with KKR could prompt the selectors to consider drafting one of them back into the national side. "They have the hunger and the drive to use this as a platform to prove their worth. The talent is there, the practice is there and the hardwork is there but I think the platform sometimes is necessary of the scale of IPL to prove your worth to jump onto the international arena," he added.

With one win and one loss in two games, Kolkata Knight Riders are off to a decent start in their title defence in 2015.
