When Virat Kohli's men collide with JP Duminy's brigade, the goal for both teams would be the same - to eliminate the mediocrity that has hamstrung both units throughout the tournament and have kept them stuck at the mid-table. (Kohli Becomes RCB's Most Prolific Batsman)
Both teams have struggled to hit form early. Daredevils lost both their opening encounters while, the Royal Challengers managed just one win from their first three games.
However, both have received a boost in confidence after their recent performances. While Delhi defeated Mumbai Indians to end a nine-match losing streak at their home ground since 2013, RCB bounced back with a win against league leaders Rajasthan Royals at Ahmedabad.

The Royal Challengers skipper Kohli described his team's nine-wicket victory over the Royals as "well-earned" and a "timely" one and hoped to carry forward the momentum in the remaining matches.
The Daredevils captain Duminy too, has been buoyed by his recent success and feels confident before the upcoming battle against Bangalore.
While the big names have struggled for RCB, Daredevils have produced a future star in Shreyas Iyer. The right-handed young opener has become his team's leading run-getter with 227 runs and along with Imran Tahir has been instrumental in reviving Delhi's fortunes.
