India fast bowler Ishant Sharma failed to prove his fitness during Saturday's practice session Down Under. With just a week left for the World Cup, the Delhi bowler is likely to be replaced by Mohit Sharma in the side. (Complete coverage of the World Cup )
One of the most experienced bowlers in the side, Ishant has been receiving treatment in Australia and although he has been training hard, remains a doubt for the World Cup. India's plans have taken a nose dive in the face of the recent injuries as not just Ishant and Bhuvneshwar but even batsman Rohit Sharma and all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja are struggling. The team management has been mum about the fitness and availability of the four players.
