After being snapped up by Delhi Daredevils for a record fee of Rs 16 crore in player auctions on Monday, flamboyant all-rounder Yuvraj Singh flaunted his new Indian Premier League outfit on Instagram.
Despite being ignored for India's World Cup squad, Yuvraj's value in the IPL hasn't diminished. He sparked a vigourous bidding war between five teams - Sunrisers Hyderabad, Kings XI Punjab, Rajasthan Royals, Delhi Daredevils and his last year's employers Royal Challengers Bangalore. The Bangalore franchise who had secured his services for a whopping Rs 14 crore for IPL 2014 had released him ahead of Monday's auction.
Yuvraj, who has showcased some form with the bat in the Ranji Trophy, will hope to keep his career going with a successful outing for Delhi Daredevils. Yuvraj had taken to twitter to express his happiness at the opportunity of playing under India's World Cup-winning coach Gary Kirsten. Yuvraj will also team-up with another Indian veteran - Zaheer Khan. Delhi Daredevils' official twitter handle also posted an image of Yuvraj in their team colours.
