The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has decided to hold its Annual General Meeting in Chennai on March 2. The Supreme Court had directed the Board to hold the AGM on or before March 5.
The Working Committee Meeting held in Chennai on Sunday also discussed the implications of the Supreme Court Judgment and decided to act as per legal advice.
In a setback for former BCCI president, N. Srinivasan, the Supreme Court has barred him from contesting any BCCI election on grounds of conflict of interest and set up a judges committee under a former Chief Justice of India to decide on the punishment in the IPL scam that can threaten the future of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Rajasthan Royals (RR).
