Fans of legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar can expect a treat once again - this time from his pen rather than the bat. The retired player is all set to write his memoirs in an autobiography titled 'Playing it My Way.'

Set for a November 6 publication date, Tendulkar said on Tuesday that his book will cover aspects of his life that have not been shared previously. (Also read: Sachin Tendulkar launches Indian Super League in glitzy ceremony )

"I knew that agreeing to write my story would need me to be completely honest, as that's the way I have always played the game," he said in a statement. "It would require talking about a number of aspects I have not shared in public before."

Tendulkar, who ended his international career with 51 Test tons and 49 ODI hundreds, said that his book would chart his life from his early days and right up to the time he bid farewell to the sport.

"Having taken that last walk back to the pavilion, (I am) ready to recount as many incidents as I can remember since first picking up a cricket bat as a child in Mumbai thirty-five years ago."

The highest run-scorer in the history of international cricket, Tendulkar retired in 2013 after playing for an astonishing 24 years. The most celebrated Indian cricketer of all time, he was conferred the Bharat Ratna - India's highest civilian award - on the day of his retirement.
