Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid share the record for the most hundreds by an Indian batsman against England. Both the batsmen have scored seven hundreds each. It's a coincidence that Dravid and Tendulkar have identical figures while scoring hundreds except highest scores. (Full Coverage of India Tour of England)
Both the batsmen have played seven Tests, seven innings, not out twice, has an aggregate of 982 runs and an average of 196.40 and has scored seven hundreds. Dravid's highest score is 217, while Tendulkar's best versus England is 197.
Dravid, the retired former Indian skipper, will assist the current team as batting consultant. He was invited by the team management that includes skipper MS Dhoni and chief coach Duncan Fletcher.
In the 2011 series, when India were whipped 4-0 by England, Dravid was the only standout batsman.
