Sunday's final between Kolkata Knight Riders and Kings XI Punjab was the most tweeted match of IPL 7
Kolkata Knight Riders might have sped through to a second IPL championship, but Kings XI Punjab won the Twitter battle in Sunday's final at Bangalore's Chinnaswamy Stadium. According to the fan meter on iplt20.com for the grand finale, #KXIP clocked 28,125 Tweets while #KKR had 23,085 Tweets.
The most tweeted moment of the IPL final were Piyush Chawla's winning boundary. Wriddhiman Saha's six to reach the first-ever century in an IPL final was a close second, with Manish Pandey's dismissal, Chawla's match-turning six off Mitchell Johnson and Saha's consecutive boundaries in the last over of the Kings XI innings bringing up the top 5.
Bengal boy Saha was the most mentioned player in the final for his scintillating century. Man of the Match Pandey was second, and Kolkata Knight Riders captain Gautam Gambhir was the third most tweeted about player during the final.
