NEW DELHI: Pacer Zaheer Khan struck early on the third day of the second Test to give India second success by getting Kane Williamson caught behind in Wellington.
Williamson (7) edged Zaheer to Dhoni in the second over of the day with the scorecard reading 27.
The visitors, looking to win and level the two-match series, gained a 246-run first innings lead, having skittled out New Zealand for 192 on the opening day.
New Zealand were 24 for one in their second innings at stumps, still 222 behind. Zaheer Khan trapped Peter Fulton leg before in the first over. Opener Hamish Rutherford (18) and Kane Williamson (4) then saw off the attack until close.
