South Africa elect to bowl against Pak

CENTURION (South Africa): South Africa won the toss and decided to bowl first in the final one-day international against Pakistan on Saturday as they seek to avoid an historic first whitewash at home.

Pakistan can become the first country to leave South Africa with a clean sweep in an ODI series.

Pakistan made four changes for the game at SuperSport Park: resting batsmen Nasir Jamshed and Mohammad Hafeez, allrounder Shahid Afridi and bowler Junaid Khan while bringing in Umar Amin, Asad Shafiq, Abdur Rehman and Sohail Tanvir.

South Africa was missing three of their most experienced performers as they play for pride and a record that has stood since the country's return to international cricket in 1991.

Fast bowler Dale Steyn and Jacques Kallis have minor injuries while opening batsman Graeme Smith was given compassionate leave after his grandmother died.

They were replaced by Henry Davids, Wayne Parnell and Vernon Philander.
