Proteas elect to bowl after rain delay

PORT ELIZABETH (South Africa): South Africa opted to bowl first against Pakistan in the crucial second one-day international after a rain delay at St. George's Park.

Scorecard

South Africa captain AB de Villiers decided there would be enough help for his fast bowlers from the pitch and the overcast conditions in Port Elizabeth to put Pakistan in to bat.

The game has been reduced to 45 overs a side and will start two hours late.

Pakistan leads the three-match series 1-0 and is in sight of a first victory over South Africa in a bilateral ODI series. The tourists were unchanged from the team that won by 23 runs at Newlands on Sunday.

South Africa made two changes, bringing in left-arm seamer Lonwabo Tsotsobe and allrounder Ryan McLaren for Vernon Philander and Morne Morkel.
