After winning the toss Bailey said that 300 will be great and it will put a lot of pressure on the Indian batsmen and support their bowlers. They are keen on going to 2-0, he added that it will be fantastic.
After losing the toss Dhoni said he would have bowled first anyway, considering the dew factor later on in the innings. Dhoni said that he feels that the ball here comes on nicely to the bat. India are looking to level the series and then take the rest as a five-match series, Dhoni added.
The greenish look on the Sawai Mansingh Stadium wicket would have made the Australians happy. After all, it is their pace which had derailed India in Pune.
For the likes of Mitchell Johnson, Shane Watson and James Faulkner, the greenness on the wicket would mean good bounce and that, in turn, would give them confidence to send down a few short-pitched ones.
Most of the Indians understand the SMS track quite well and know exactly what needs to be done. Shikhar Dhawan for one, has played some memorable innings here in domestic tournaments.
Skipper MS Dhoni too has enjoyed batting on this wicket. More than the batting, India would be worried about their bowling. But if spearhead Ishant Sharma strives to get back his rhythm, SMS would be the place.
R Ashwin skipped the training session at the RCA Academy on Tuesday. However, given that it was an optional training for the team, Kohli brushed away speculations. Amit Mishra, however, was there for practice. On this track, Mishra might prove to be more effective.
For the records, India are Australia in Jaipur after 27 years. They last faced off at the SMS in 1986, an encounter which India won. That, though, will have very little bearing on the match.
