Shane Warne and Elizabeth Hurley have finally called it quits

Shane Warne and Elizabeth Hurley have finally called it quits with the duo sending the rumour mills buzzing.

Shane Warne and Liz Hurley have courted on Twitter, posted disturbingly smouldering Twitpics from bed, but could they now be at the end of their 140-character romance?

Rumours are they’ve split after the couple stopped using social media to communicate.

It may not sound like much but their history has played out online.

Warne is mighty fond of using social media. He announced via his Twitter account that he and his wife Simone had separated in mid 2010.

Then Hurley and Warne were sprung kissing by the paparazzi in December 2010. Almost instantly Hurley announced her marriage to Indian businessman, Arun Nayar, was over.

Quickly dubbed “Shurley” the pair then displayed their romance online seemingly enjoying the world eavesdropping on their flirty messages.

Knockers said it wouldn’t last but in September 2011 the pair got engaged.

So when there is Twitter silence between the lovebirds, eyebrows are raised.

Rumours of the alleged split were prompted after Warne celebrated his 44th birthday on September 13 and promptly fired off tweets to family members thanking them for their birthday messages.

What’s unusual is there was no birthday tweet from his fiancee who was in England while he was in Australia.

In fact his last tweet to the 47-year-old model was on August 30, in which he apparently made plans to spend a day at the races together.
