Pressure on MI against in-form Volts

AHMEDABAD: With three consecutive wins in the qualifiers, the Otago Volts head into their clash against Mumbai Indians on Monday at the Motera as clear favourites.

Their strong wins against Sunrisers Hyderabad (by 5 wkts), Kanurata Maroons (by 6 wkts) and Faisalabad Wolves (by 8 wkts) have given them the momentum. MI, on the other hand, have some catching up to do after their seven-wicket loss to the Royals.

Ryan ten Doeschate, Otago's Dutch import, added a little more salt to the MI wounds on the eve of the game by stating that Rohit Sharma will be under pressure.

"If they lose the first two games, it will be very difficult for them. So they will definitely be under pressure," said ten Doeschate.

The allrounder, however, was quick to add that MI are an exceptionally tough side having four quality overseas player and some quality domestic ones.

"MI has the strongest set of domestic players but we have match-winners too."
