NEW DELHI: N Srinivasan was on Sunday re-elected the president of Board of Control for Cricket in India ( BCCI) for the third time at the board's annual general meeting (AGM) in Chennai. Srinivasan, who was elected unopposed, has chosen a team for himself which excludes his 'rivals'.
Srinivasan was supported by all the six South zone associations, making his appointment easy for the top job. Srinivasan was the lone Presidential candidate put forward by the South Zone, from where he got the proposer and the seconder.
Srinivasan, however, can only resume his duties once the Supreme Court gives its final verdict on the case filed against his candidature by the Cricket Association of Bihar secretary Aditya Verma.
Srinivasan was forced to step aside in the wake of the IPL spot-fixing scandal.
