This is the script Shikhar Dhawan and Co follows. It happened the second time in a row and meant they ended up on the losing side against the South African team Titans in a Champions League T20 Group B match on Saturday.
The Titans made the target of 146 look even smaller, winning by eight wickets in 16.3 overs. Just like their rivals, the SA side had a superb start, scoring 52 without loss in Powerplay.
Captain Henry Davids led from the front (64 off 42 balls; 4x7, 6x4) and his opening partner Jacques Rudolph (49 off 42 balls; 4x3, 6x2) extended the perfect helping hand.
Davids also bowled four economical overs, picking up a wicket. While the Hyderabad middle order failed to capitalize on the start provided, Davids got out when the job was almost finished, with the scoreboard reading 112 in the 13th over. Rudolph stayed on to wrap up things with the middle order.
