Virat Kohli to play his 100th ODI against West Indies in the ICC Champions Trophy 2013



Indian batsman Virat Kohli will on Tuesday step out onto the field at The Oval in his 100th One Day International (ODI) appearance kohli when India play West Indies in the ICC Champions Trophy. This will mark the 30th instance of an Indian cricketer reaching the landmark.


Virat Kohli, 24, has played 99 ODIs from which he has scored 4085 runs at an average of 49.21 inclusive of 13 centuries and 22 half-centuries. In the current squad for the ongoing tournament, only MS Dhoni (220) and Suresh Raina (160) have played more ODIs than Kohli.


He made his ODI debut against Sri Lanka on August 18, 2008 in Dambulla. Since then, after weathering several tough passages, Kohli has blossomed into a match-winner and made the No. 3 slot his own in ODIs. He is the present and future of Indian batting.
