NEW DELHI: BCCI president N Srinivasan finally called up the interim head of the board, Jagmohan Dalmiya, on Saturday and expressed his wish to attend the ICC meeting starting from June 23 onwards in the UK.
"Srinivasan called up Dalmiya on Saturday and told him about his interest to attend the ICC meeting," a source told TOI on Saturday.
Most working committee members are not convinced that Srinivasan should represent India at this moment as they feel it could tarnish the image of the board. "Many members are against Srinivasan going for the ICC meeting. If he has decided to stay away from day-to-day running of the board, there is no point in attending the ICC meeting," said an official.
The ball is in Dalmiya's court as he has the power to pick India's representative for the meeting.
