"He arrived at the airport around 10.30 am and the flight took off at 11.15 am for Mumbai. He was alone," said an airport officer.
Srinivasan, who was staying with Meiyappan in his holiday home at the hill retreat of Kodaikanal drove down to Madurai airport to take the flight.
"He left Kodaikanal early in the morning by road. His neighbours said that nobody else came out of the house since morning," said a police officer in Kodaikanal
It was in this villa at Coaker's Walk in the hill town that Gurunath Meiyappan was staying till he was forced to leave for Mumbai to appear before the crime branch police.
Srinivasan's departure comes in the wake of a clamour for his resignation from the top post of BCCI. People holding influence over cricket in India, right from former BCCI president Sharad Pawar, Sahara group chairman Subrato Roy and former IPL chairman Lalit Modi have demanded that Srinivasan should quit the post.
