Rajasthan spinner Kevon Cooper broke the gritty stand between Adam Gilchrist and Shaun Marsh by scalping Punjab skipper after his 42-run knock.
Cooper gave Rajasthan the much needed breakthrough as Gilchrist and Marsh kept the visitors at bay despite losing opener Mandeep Singh in the very first over without a run on board. Hussey was then bowled out by Shane Watson after scoring 1.
Marsh hit a boundary on the fifth delivery of the 13th over to reach his fifty take the side cross 100. Marsh's half-ton came off 41 balls.
Rajasthan spinner Ajit Chandila struck in the first over to take a simple return catch of Mandeep Singh after Punjab were invited to bat.
Mandeep failed to even get off the mark.
It's billed as a match between one man in sublime touch versus a team which is packed with in-form players who are maximizing their potential to the hilt.
So, when Kings XI Punjab take on the Rajasthan Royals, Punjab's focus will be on David 'Killer' Miller, while Rajasthan will look for contributions from everyone in the team.
