NEW DELHI: Former Rajasthan Royals player, Amit Singh, who was arrested as one of the bookies in the IPL spot-fixing scandal, was suspended by the Board of Control for Cricket in India ( BCCI) on Friday.

According to sources, Amit has been heard extensively speaking to the players over phone and fixed the deals with them.
He is suspected to be a key man in spotting the players who could spot-fix and worked as a middle-man between bookie and players.
Amit had played for the IPL franchise Rajasthan Royals in 2009 and 2012 and was only released as late as last season.
He has played 23 matches for the Royals and also represented the Gujarat Ranji team in the 2012-13 season.
