KOLKATA: Not many had given them much chance, but Kings XI Punjab are lodged at the middle of the table with four wins from seven games, and coach Darren Lehmann is happy with the team's performance so far.
"It's a total team effort. We have got a mix of domestic and experienced overseas players. They are all doing their job at different times and it's great fun to be a coach," Lehmann said after their practice session at the Eden on Thursday.
Despite skipper Adam Gilchrist not being among runs, the coach is happy with the way the opener has led from the front.
"He is the captain and has led really well and kept wickets very well.
Obviously we want some more runs from him. Even he would like to score more runs. We will have to wait and see," he said.
