on Tuesday, April 30th, 2013A former Pakistan wicketkeeper Shahid Israr, has died in Karachi at the age of 63. Shahid Israr born March 1, 1950, Karachi, Sindh.
The Pakistan board said, “Pakistan Cricket Board management is deeply saddened by the loss of Mr Shahid Israr and thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time of sorrow”.
Shahid Israr played one Test for Pakistan, against New Zealand in Karachi in October 1976, and kept wicket in that game. He also played 31 first-class matches, scoring 868 runs at an average of 28. He took 66 catches and made 22 stumpings. His first-class career spanned 11 years, from 1968 to 1979.
