The Test debut against Sri Lanka was equally memorable with a century. But then came the trough. However, a niggle in the hamstring tendon while completing a century against England A put him back again.
Now on his way back, Marsh hopes to turn out for Kings XI soon. Excerpts from a chat:
When can we hope to see you back on the field?
It has been a long nine weeks. I spent a lot of time in the gym working with the physios back in Perth. The body is feeling good and refreshed. I am targeting a come back in the next couple of games.
India has been a lucky hunting ground for you...
I love coming here and playing for Kings XI. I am lucky the team has shown faith in me. I'll like to score as many runs as possible and repay them.
What is you most memorable moment with the Kings XI?
Every year with the Kings XI has been fantastic but first year was special when I became the highest run-scorer and won the Orange Cap. But the most memorable moment will be the 200-run partnership with Gilly ( Adam Gilchrist) last year in Dharamshala.
