NEW DELHI: Strong verbal duel between Kolkata skipper Gautam Gambhir and his Bangalore counterpart Virat Kohli during their IPL clash took the fans by surprise on Thursday.
Kohli was on fire during Bangalore's chase of 155 when Lakshmipathy Balaji ended his challenge by getting him caught by Eoin Morgan.
Gambhir supposedly uttered a word to Kohli on his dismissal that made Bangalore skipper angry. On Kohli's reply, Gambhir was seen walking angrily towards Kohli before Rajat Bhatia intervened to avoid a possible collision.
This was not the first spat between Indian players during an IPL encounter.
