Getting the hat-trick
Picking up a hat-trick is always special, but if the team is not winning then it goes in vain. I think I would be far happier if the team wins due to my bowling efforts. I didn't go out into the field thinking of how many wickets I will pick. It just happened and I am satisfied with my effort.
The special dismissal
All of them were special. But (David) Hussey was a set batsman and getting his wicket helped us get a foothold into the match. In the other two wickets, batsmen didn't read my carom ball, which is always difficult to pick right at the start.
Good to have variations
In T20 cricket, I try to bowl in good areas and vary my pace, line and length. The batsman tries to go after you and there lies my chance of getting a wicket. It's good to have variations, but maintaining a tight line and length is of paramount importance.
Bowling with Sachithra Senanayake
It is the first time I have played alongside him. He is a good bowler. It makes my job a lot easier. Hopefully, we will continue bowling well in tandem.
Batsmen being confounded by him
I know things have been going pretty well for me in the competition. Getting back the Purple Cap definitely feels good. But it's only a personal achievement.
