The IPL Team Delhi Daredevils will miss Kevin Pietersen as he has been ruled out of the 6th season of Indian Premier League after injuring his knee. Pietersen will also not take part in the third and final Test against New Zealand that starts from Friday.
England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) on its website said:
“an injury to the right knee with bone bruising and possible cartilage damage to the kneecap”.
Kevin Pietersen experienced pain in his right knee while preparing for a four-day tour game before the start of the Test series against New Zealand earlier this month.
The IPL sixth edition starts from April 3 with defending champion Kolkata Knight Riders facing Delhi Daredevils in the opening match at Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
