Now, Ravindra Jadeja, in his fledgling career has found a 'bunny' - Australia skipper Michael Clarke. The left-arm spinner has already dismissed the Aussie captain four times in this series. However, Jadeja refused to buy that.
"Bunny...I don't know. It's just that whenever I have the ball, he is there facing me," Jadeja said when asked if he was doing to Clarke what Harbhajan Singh had done with former Australian captain Ricky Ponting in the past. "It's a very important wicket because if you allow him to settle down, he can make big scores. So I am thrilled," added Jadeja. The hosts are in the driver's seat in this match after restricting the Aussies to 273/7 on Day 2 of the Test. Jadeja said that the Indian team will try to wrap up the opposition innings as soon as possible on Saturday.
"The aim is to not let them score enough runs. We would look to take the remaining three wickets as soon as possible so that we get enough time to bat," said the Indian all-rounder. "We have got to take the last three wickets, bat well and look to take a big first innings lead. If we have a big lead it will be easier for us to bowl (in Australia's second innings)," he added.
Jadeja, who emerged as the most successful bowler of the day, picking up three wickets in the process, felt that bowling stump to stump did the trick for him.
"There is not that much turn in this pitch. But this is still the first day (actually second, as there was no play on Day 1). I tried to bowl straight. Whenever there is a bit of turn, I try to do just that," Jadeja analysed.
