India record 6th home series win vs Oz

NEW DELHI: Australia's 4-0 whitewash on Sunday is the sixth time that India have defeated the visitors in 12 Test series held in the country.

This was the first time India have won four Test matches in a series and the fourth time that Australia have suffered a whitewash.

Of a total of 12 Test series held in India between the two countries, the hosts have won six times, lost four and drawn two. In the last eight series, India have dominated the Australians winning six, losing just once and drawing one.
